  1. I'm sorry you're dealing with the leak. Will pray you can figure it out soon without it being a huge expense. We feel your pain. We have a homestead in middle TN and it's always one thing after another. Even with all the challenges we still wouldn't change our decision to live here and homestead. We know it was a gift from the Lord.

  2. THANKS FOR THE TOUR ! I hope you get the fix for the cistern . I have roped off much of my garden behind the house for Sage to mow for me ..one of my brilliant, labor saving ideas that worked ! My citrus in the greenhouse is blooming. Slowly, I am getting the seedlings transplanted up and the gardens pruned and planted . I hired some much needed help for building and landscaping repair . I got14 baby Peking ducks at a real deal and hope they won't be killed by the black snakes ..There's always something! Have a fun an beautiful garden year! :)Sharon

  3. Lovely Bearded Iris in bloom – mine have come back after being chewed to nothing by grasshoppers last year. Those rhisome's are very strong under the soil. I have a few buds already and healthy strappy dark green leaves. Your yard is gorgeous. I hope you solve your cistern woes and get all done without a whole lot of expense and trouble Kaye.

  4. …random thoughts about your cistern pipe…drop a weighted string and measure exactly how deep the hole…buy a waterproof little phone camera and take some photos…sometimes those pvc caps have squares built on top for help unscrewing the cap (I watched the city workers access the gas off/on valves below ground surface) You may be able to borrow that turning rod from your local utility…I wish I was familiar with the correct terminology …good luck!!

  5. Thank you for the tour and beautiful music! Your marshmallows look great! Can't wait to transplant mine! Your peas are climbing! I didn't plant them this year. I have a hickory nut tree that I haven't been able to identify positively–they aren't all good to eat. But once toasted, they can pass for pecans up here in west central Ohio. Those two pines looked like they were getting some nice size to them, it’s a shame they died! Your iris is so lovely! Ours won't bloom for several weeks yet, usually close to Memorial Day. We often call them "flags." The Phaecelia is beautiful! Today I'm trying to break up the stubborn mucus in my chest. But my marshmallow and my mullein are still little babies. There's mullein in the fence rows and old railroad beds, but I wouldn't use them, not next to the farm fields like they are! So I'm growing my own. It will be a while before I can use them as an expectorant, so I'm stuck with an OTC drug, which is doing the job. I bought a few such items for barter or to use in cases where my home remedies aren't working. Take care, Kaye!❤

  6. Thanks for the garden update – You have such a variety of wild herbs and flowers. Those ant hills are mammoth too! Appreciate that you take the time to identify them for us so we can learn too what might be in our backyards. Hope your idea for the cistern works out to be correct and you will get it resolved. Have a wonderful evening..
