Curious… you have so much plastic waste from bags. Not a judgement, but wondering if you’ve found any type of recycle option that you can share with your listeners. PS. I enjoy your videos and have been motivated to try new things, like seeds inside! Can’t wait to plant them outside this spring here in Wisconsin!
The last couple of weeks, I have been saying to myself "its getting to be time for Laura to fertilize." Trying to remember what needed fertilizer and when. So, it is a timely video (as usual) . Our dogs love 'tone' also!

We have two Brittany's that dig up the plant if we use Bio-Tone or any of the other fertilizers, they go crazy and eat it so we don't use any on plants they have access too.
My dogs love eating this fertilizer. It’s the strangest thing but I’m not surprised because it is a very good product.
Would you be able to share the N-P-K of those .. tones? Occasionally, I have been able to get biotone, mostly just over the border in Minnesota, but it is difficult to source in Canada. So was just wondering what comparable products would be?
I also wanted to thank you for your inspiration to prune bushes and tress when it is cool or cold out. I am not sure why I have not thought of this before. We had very little snow this winter and a warm early March so I got out and got my pruning done.
We just got several feet of snow but at least my pruning is done 😂. Thanks for all of the advice and inspiration.

Squirrels dig up anything I fertilize with the Tones. It does not help to water in….😢
I have the same exact issue with our cats. We have four in the backyard and they think the raised beds are their litter box!! I have to cover them up and they even push stuff over and still use it!
I was particularly interested in this video since its time for me to fertilize my orchard too. I noticed you applied the tree tone to your fruit trees at the base & not the drip line. Is there a reason for this or does it not matter? Thanks!
Also, I use Indian river organics, kelp, seaweed, and fish fertilizer. It is the bomb it will blow your plants up overnight my Hollyhock which I planted last summer is 7 feet tall!
Dogs also eat it. And it makes them seriously ill. I can’t use this in the back yard because our Lab will eat the soil it is on and she gets deathly ill with vomiting… don’t use this if you have dogs.
I have a question about Land and Sea compost. Can people with shellfish allergies use it? Does it affect the food that is grown in it?

I live in Texas where the soil is also very alkaline. I usually put soil acidifier around things like my gardenias and blueberries, and then I will come back with a fertilizer like holly tone or berry tone. Do you think that adding the acidifier might be overkill since some of the “tones” are already lowering the ph?
Can you explain a little more about the NPK in all of these products? Does Espoma label them specifically just to help out the gardener? Some of these have the exact same NPK in the bag. Is there a special formula in each one added so it makes it more unique. Couldn’t you just buy one and use on everything?
I would Love to see you grow LISIANTHUS flowers from seed.. where to get good seed from and what to look for in a healthy seed.
Is there any plant on which you use a single ingredient fertilizer? I sometimes use only a Nitrogen fertilizer, for example, on leafy greens or herbs. Thanks.

Be very careful with fertilizer with dogs. My dog got into a sealed bag. I bought it was carried in the house. She carried it outside ripped a hole and ate some. 2 weeks later she tragically died at the park with us. We are devastated. I’m not sure if that caused it but please all you dog owners be careful. ❤️🩹
Cats in my area love the Tones. They attempt to dig up and around the root balls of my plants when freshly fertilized 😢
I just don't use it in the backyard. The dogs dig it up. I use Osmocote or something that has no smell.

Saw a lot of the fertilizer blowing around. Was it too windy? Also looks like Paul was smartly dressed for his safety. Noticed the chickens got a real faceful of blowing fertilizer. Is that ok?

Once I came home and my two Dobermans had eaten a whole small bag of garden tone. Grew 2 new tails over night! Now we have to keep the bags up on a very tall shelf.
Why can't you use Holly-tone on arbs and boxwoods?
I started using the Espoma Organic fertilizer line after seeing you use it. I love it and have seen amazing results. I also use Palm tone here in Florida Zone 10 a. It not only helps my palm trees, but works wonders with my pineapple and bromeliads. Thank you for another great video. Douglas is quite the little stinker. I have three, just like him!😂
Do you continue to fertilize your arborvitae’s every year, or is there a point when they would be considered mature and you would stop fertilizing?
I’m excited to get out and fertilize once it stops raining! I’m assuming it wouldn’t be good to let the fertilizer get onto wet leaves? Also… my dogs LOVE Biotone. Probably even more than my plants do! 😂

Have you ever counted how many trees, shrubs, and perennials you have in the gardens? You are certainly a good customer of Espoma lol! So happy you taught us about Espoma-I use the Biotone on all new plants and try to remember to fertilize throughout the season. ☺️
