Tomatoes

What are these???

Hey guys, I got these cherry/ grape tomatoes from my local buehlers grocery. They're absolutely amazing and incredibly sweet!!! They also have a bit of a weird shape. Does anybody know what variety these are and how I might be able to get seeds for them? I don't know if the seeds in these are mature enough to plant…. What do you guys think? Thanks!

  1. Yes you can try getting the seeds. Simply dry them on a paper towel. No guarantee they turn out identical though, could be an F1 tomatoe.

They kind of remind me of sweetheart tomatoes but a bit bumpier. I grew them last year and they were amazing.

Does the packaging not list a variety? You could absolutely plant the seeds of these, just pop a few in a little container with some moist soil and place it somewhere warm.

Like someone else mentioned, they might be F1 hybrids and not grow true to type, but in my experience they usually do (and the hybrid part is likely more related to yield and maybe disease resistance in commercial growing, not necessarily the flavour and shape of the fruit itself).

Was the name of the grower on the package? Could always reach out to the company and see if they’ll divulge it.
