Tomatoes

New tomato grower here so apologies for the newbie questions but, what’s wrong with my matoes?

I bought these lil guys a few weeks ago and not long after I planted them they started developing brown parts to their leaves and began wilting. They are alive, still growing a bit and I haven’t seen any bugs on them but they don’t exactly look like they are thriving. There was also some white fluff on their roots when I planted them so is this some weird fungal thing?

They are in a planter that’s labelled as a tomato planter and potted in Miracle-Gro Fruit & Vegetable Compost. Both in a greenhouse too. Varieties are Beefsteak and Honeycomb

Hopefully they aren’t too sick or beyond saving,. If there’s anything I can do please feel free to comment

They need a richer soil. Digging in packaged chicken manure will give them a (nitrogen) boost that they need.

They look like they weren’t sufficiently hardened off and got scalded. And that soil looks way too heavy, so they are struggling to recover.

Tomatoes are pretty resilient , how’s the drainage? From the looks of it the soil looks like it wouldn’t Drain very well.

They heard you call them matoes and there like “fuck no I ain’t growing up to be this guy’s ‘matoe’. Death by suicide!”

    Over watering.
Looks like their roots are stunted now.
