After a while, all the yellow buds keep dying off and turning brown without producing a tomato. The plant is an Amelia Tomato plant. What could be the cause of this? I have a Tidy Treat cherry tomato plant in the same container that is thriving with several dozen tomatoes.

Maybe they were not pollinated. Plant was stressed and aborted them. Temperature or humidity to high or low for proper fruit set.
Plant is likely fine and will become productive under the correct circumstances. It does still look fairly small.
On a sidenote: your plant seems to have some herbicide damage, visible at the bottom right of the circle and at the very top of the plant. Not necessarily related to the flowers being aborted.
