I had to bring my winter sowing jugs in, everything had sprouted and temps fell into the low teens.

I live on edge of zone 8, 9a and the temperatures get into the teens at times here in southern California and my avocados loose their leaves every year cause it gets cold but every year it bounces back.
I really like the upbeat poppy music this time. It really fits the time lapse

LAURA, will you be giving the kids their own spots to grow their own garden? You speak a lot about things your family did and it brings you so much joy, you truly light up. I would love if you did segments/videos on gardening with kids or ideas of what to do with kids to get them interested etc.

Here in Ireland we woke up to a surprise snowfall – winter having its last hurrah, I hope. 😂 It wasn’t forecast, but last night I stepped outside and could tell it would be a cold one so I moved my more precious plants under cover. Very excited to see what this month will bring 😊🌱

The avocado tree normally is in a warm and humidity place.
Where can I find the little butterflies for gnat control? Every year I get them in my house. I have used the soap water spray, but it usually doesn’t help enough. I watch your videos each day while working and dream of getting out in my garden!

Seems as if the soil has become hydrophobic? How would YOU fix that?
(I do it by adding a little dish detergent to my watering can/mister – works like a charm)
The kitties bring such joy to my heart and smiles when I see them.

Laura, I noted your cyclamen. I'm in SC and have lived in PA and I cannot – for the life of me! – keep cyclamen alive for more than a week! I keep trying because they are beautiful. I water! Sometimes I repot. Is there a secret?
Gnatrol ….removed all my indoor gnats….. I put more in the water than I was supposed to
Do you bottom water any of your seedlings? Is there certain things you should use that method for? Also when do you know when to start using watering can versus your water mister?
