I think we need to all remember that summer isn’t until June 21st. We are still in spring.

  3. I put the heat back on in the house this morning. It was cold in Northeastern Pennsylvania today.

I guess this should make me grateful as a West Coaster that our annual “worst air quality in the world” season is late summer into fall.

We’ve got a storm brewing for the next few hours here in DE. It’s just been thundering though…weird sounding thunder. Like someone is rolling their garbage cans across the ground.

Smokes a flavour enhancer. A winery by me on the west coast has a wine made from grapes that grew in a smokey summer. The wine actually has a bit of a charred flavour to it. It’s really unique and tasty. So it’s not all bad lol

Sorry for sending you our wildfire smoke 🙁

We’ve had two good rainfalls since the snow melted and have been breaking high temperature records (more days of +30C so far than some years get in total and the hottest months are still ahead). My flowers are a month early, the power companies have issued warnings about possible rolling blackouts and I’m sure there will be water restrictions unless we get some decent rainfall. Meanwhile I’m watering like crazy and plants are still frying. I dream of cool rainy weather.
