  1. laura, i have been trying to follow all your tips for planting seeds indoors ( although admittedly making some mistakes) but im struggling to know the next steps now that my seeds have true leaves. how long to keep under grow lights, do i need to harden off? we are 8b, when can i plant outside in my raised bed? love all your content and how i have seen your family grow & change. your kids and your plant babies.

  2. I totally agree on the salad thing!! A bowl of lettuce always taste better in a restaurant than at home. I see other YouTube gardeners who grow lots and lots of spinach, kale, lettuce. Not for me!

  3. I have had the best luck starting artichokes using my AeroGarden hydroponic system and then moving them to soil after the 2nd set of true leaves emerge.

  4. Try muriatic acid on the polymer sand binding white residue. It should remove it. It will also remove grout residue from tile and hard scape.

  5. Egg shells do not break down quickly enough to benefit tomatoes. Put the eggshells in your composter.

  6. You know I am with Aaron about the blue flowers that are not blue at all but purple. I always say, that's purple not blue πŸ”΅πŸ’œ big difference πŸ€”πŸ˜

  7. I adore you Aaron !!! Great convo !!!!! So funny and true !!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. The problem is kids are given the right to choose instead of being told as they should be. In my opinion.

  9. I haven’t seen any comments about people stealing flowers from the pots. That is wild to me.

  10. Cantelope, get the tractor out and make a row on the other side of the high tunnel. I had the exact same reaction as Aaron x πŸŒΌπŸ™πŸ˜‡πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’›

  11. It's not going to wear down. Both my two front teeth have been chipped and the filling is now longer than my worn down teeth x πŸŒΌπŸ™πŸ˜‡πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’›

  12. How many assistants do you have working in your yard/farm? I’m so so curious! When we had an acre and 60 trees, we easily could’ve hired out about 20 hours weekly!!

  13. My father insisted on salad every night before dinner when I was growing up! We were allowed to pick any salad dressing we wanted, but we had to finish our green salad.

  14. Have you tried to take a Sander and sanding the tops of the Bricks? Since You tried everything Else, it might be worth the effort before replacing the bricks.

  15. My wife and I love the show. I enjoy the weekend roundup with Aaron. When he makes comments my wife glances at me to see me grinning from ear to ear in agreement. Think about naming the sun porch "Russell's Retreat".

  16. Laura,
Did you get the wind storms like we did in the Spring here in Kentucky? It seemed like every other day there was a wind storm with winds gusting higher than 50mph that lasted more than 12 hrs or more. Total madness.
By the way, I'm totally with Aaron on the purple/blue flower.
I always enjoy watching! Thank you!

  17. I have a community project for you! Come help me plant up a care center in Meridian. They need help so bad!! I tried emailing you about it.

  18. Do you struggle w tomato blossom drop? Cause is supposed to be temperature related: too hot or too cold. Grrrr! (Zone 10b here in So Cal foothills)

  19. Honestly, I think one of the most important things I learned watching this channel is to remove a plant that you aren't happy with and I thank you for it!

  20. Please never say β€˜fresh off the boat’ again. There is well known negative racial and cultural stereotypes associated.

  21. Cleveland Sage "Bon Bon" and Mexican Sage. Blue. I also went to my native plant nursery and asked for PINK yarrow. He sent me up the hill to see the PURPLE yarrow. AARRRGHHH!!!

  22. Hahaha! I totally relate to the salad comment. My husband pushes me to start more lettuce and spinach. However, he rarely touches a salad (nor does he clean and chop the greens!). So we become inundated with greens and apparently, I’m the cleanup crew πŸ˜‚

  23. I'm with Aaron. I cringe when someone talks blue and show violet or purple. Common man. Did the garden world get lazy and decided since they couldn't produce the blues they needed they call purples blue? No one will notice Arrrgh

  24. Don’t y’all have a county extension office affiliated with an agricultural university?

  25. Maybe Proven Winners will come up with a BLUE Supertunia. That would be for everyone that likes to plant patriotic groupings!
