  1. When starting peppers, it says it takes 7-10 days to germinate. How many times should I water the seeds during that 7-10 days?

  2. My experience with your seeds is at least 90 percent germination, I'm at the point where I confidently plant one seed per Cell of your seeds

  3. Write with mechanical pencil on discarded mini blinds. The graphite from the pencil won’t ever fade. As a runner of neighborhoods it’s common for me to see and scavenge a set of mini blinds. Lifetime supply of cheap labels that don’t fade!

  4. My seeds are not germinating well. I have various seeds and same problem. Damp Soil, seeds, watered, dome put on and all on a heat mat, grow light above. On during day, unplugged at night. I plant 2seeds per unit and when they do come up I transplant out into larger pot and into another area with grow light. I leave rest of seeds under dome and on heat mat because they haven’t sprouted. What might I be doing wrong?

  5. Yes I agree when you use the domes the moment one seed sprouts you pretty much have to remove them or the seedlings get leggy too!

  6. Just checked out your website. $2 for a packet of seeds!!! That's an amazing price!!!! I feel like I'm stealing lol.

  7. Thanks for this video. I bought a heat mat and I’m so glad to know now how long to leave it on. So much great information. Some info I know some I didn’t know, love learning. Thank you!

  8. I'm a new gardener and I'm so glad you talked about the quantity of seeds you start, like how how can't really have too many but it's easy to not have enough. This eases my anxiety about starting as many seeds as I am right now. I have a huge garden area to fill so I better get to it! also OMG the humidity domes… curse them and their hairy fungus they produce… I think I'll try not using them from now on lol

  9. Oops!! I was watering my basil starts because dry on top just as you brought out overwatering. Checked the bottom and they are literally dripping 😢
    Hope they survive 😮
Thank you for this great point ❤

  10. The peppers I got from you 100% germination 😆 i was amazed considering they came across the border to Canada. 🤩

  11. I'm so sick of these "mistake" videos where one of the mistakes is not buying a product they're selling. How shameless can you get.

  12. Starting beans indoors, thanks for sharing. 😆😅🤣😂🙃
Mistakes are fun to look back at and laugh about, not so much when you are in the middle of it though!

  13. Oops I started a lot of crops in my tray but they're outside now in Florida almost ready for transplant 😊

  14. So if I only have a couple of seedlings coming up and turn off the heat mat, won't the seeds that haven't sprouted yet have a difficult time?

  15. QUESTION … A lot of what I want to order you are out of. When will you be getting more seeds in ? Also how do I figure out shipping on non seeds like the fertilizer & seed trays ? Thanks !! Love your videos !! 😊😊

  16. New gardener here. So far I’ve just grew wheatgrass for my Guinea pigs and I’m starting a Polka dot plant. I think I would like to grow some lettuce indoors next. I like the idea of growing what you eat. My indoor space is limited though mostly just got a spot here and a spot there….. got any idea for plants that love, love why to hot outside because in a couple of months outdoor space will be 100-110 F or hotter for about 2-4 months. 😿 oh, and the cool nighttime temp also way, way too hot maybe like 70-85 F

  17. What do you suggest if you have mice eating your seedlings in your greenhouse? So frustrating to start a flat then come back and see disturbed soil and the seedlings gone.

  18. Your channel has and keeps teaching me a lot about making a better garden every year!

  19. Try cutting strips out of plastic sour cream containers. Use a Sharpie peel-off china marker (Home Depot). They will never fade.

  20. A heat mat is not required to make seeds sprout. Regarding myself I am not using a heat mat to sprout my seeds, and my seeds sprouted.

I think It should be the same type of seeds when germinating either within 1 tray, or in something else. Other type of seeds can be germinated as well when gardeners to try to grow their food, so to be on the safe side different type of seeds should be separated when germinating such as in it's own respected tray, or in something else.

  21. I have had issues with the use of humidity domes. One can never know if your seeds are rotting until time passes and nothing comes up. It’s a total waste of time and money.

  22. Letting soil dry out was really key for my first year starting seeds. I had no idea what I was doing and because of that they were the best starts haha.

  23. I’ve grown tons of starts but this was my first year using heat mats. I haven’t seen this info talked about in any other video and I was making the mistake of keeping them on too long. I’m so glad I saw this, you may have saved all my pepper, eggplant and fun tomato varieties. Thank you!🙏🏼🌱😊

  24. You would be surprised how many don't want a free produce plant. 🪴 My landlord spends hours weekly and on the weekend on his front and back yard maintenance and they grow zero produce or pollinator flowers. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  25. Cool. I have been growing for years. Only doing my own seeds for a few years and have had issues with the mold and bugs so won’t use domes this year.

  26. Last year I grew every plant for my garden from seed except one cherry pepper plant (that was an impulse buy and I'd never grown them before) and some extra parsley for the swallowtail caterpillars (I didn't plant enough). I am going to attempt the same thing this year. So much cheaper than buying starts (even from the Amish greenhouses).

  27. Usually with the humidity dome, as soon as my plants germinate and start to sprout there first leaves it immediately comes off. For me it just helps quicken germination

  28. lol … I just purchased 4 more 2” tray holders as my pepper seedlings (2.5 inches) are requiring a bit more space due to foliage. Same growth rate but I just want more airflow and even lighting. End of march I’ll be planting tomatoes and eggplants. Zone 6a

  29. Anybody ever start carrots in peat pods and then put those in the ground outside when the weather is appropriate.

I only water once when I have a dome because like he said the moisture doesn't leave

  30. I so often start 2x the amount that fit in my beds, so it allows for oops, weather, watering,or fertilizing errors. So the extras will bed held in pots as back up. Having extra food production is not a problem, it's a blessing to be shared. 😊

  32. One year I gave away my extra seed starts and discovered that most of the people that got those plants didn't respect the time and effort I put into them and let them die. I will never grow extras with the good will intension of giving them away to lazy uncommitted wanna be gardeners. I'll just toss anything extra I have or save them back incase we have a storm that destroys the garden.

  33. Just planted geranium seeds Feb 26. Most are just popping up. So if I can see them coming up I should remove the dome?
