  1. Maybe I missed it, but I wouldn't mind trying varieties beyond my standard straight 8. Will cucumbers cross pollinate? I'm a seed saver.

  2. As I understand it, "burpless" cucumbers are slicing cucumbers bred to produce less of the bitter chemical that releases gas in one's stomach. And, less of that chemical makes them less attractive to cucumber beetles. Where do these fit in the groups you described?

  3. I would like to see you talk about your thoughts on the new consumer gmo tomatoes . Since you sell seeds how will you protect your interest in this industry. The more they push this stuff. What about cross pollinating from them.

  4. Thank you for the information. I enjoy your channel. We like all the cucumbers. For fresh the white is mild and sweet. For pickling / fermenting, I grow across the board with no real favorite. The family likes them all when paired with garlic, dill, grape leaf and salt water.

  5. We plant two different varieties that are called Asian cucumbers. One is called Nokya and the other is a white cucumber called Itachi (F1). Both of these varieties are called seedless and burpless. Customers just love them.

  6. I seem to have some type of virus in my soil that affects cucumber plants. The leaves and the stem turns brown and brittle from the ground up. Haven't been able to successfully grow cucumbers for 3 yrs now. Any idea what it may be and how to fix it?

  7. I am so greatful for all the seed guides you have done so far and look forward for many more to come so I can better select next year's seeds (I already purchased all my seeds from you for this year's garden and sadly have no more room to plant more). 😂

  8. I want to make another seed order but I will be strong. But next years seed order may get out of hand. Btw thank Amanda for packing my seeds.

  9. I bought almost all my seeds from you last year and let me tell you… I planted probably 1200 ish seeds just the other day and it only took three days for most of my varieties germinate. They're growing like weeds.

  10. Never heard if the enzyme information regarding pickling, will have to 🤓 out and read up on that more!! Thank you!! ❤

  11. 😢what are the three sister can you change them from corn beans squash into sunflowers cucumbers and pumkins

  12. @migardener, what variety of pickles will I be able to grow sweet pickles/ sweet relish and bread & butter and spears. Thank you in advance

  13. Just curious, where do you find enzyme info on a particular variety? I never knew this and have always had soft pickles. I'm excited to try again armed with this info!😊

  14. I love the diversity of cucs you covered! But please (if you haven't covered it before) educate your followers on parthenocarpic varieties that can be grown under floating row cover since they don't require pollination to set fruit. Especially gynoecious (all female flowers) like Sweet Success (an AAS winner) so that those of us with cucumber beetles can enjoy cucumbers as well.

  15. My cucumber is only about
4 inches fully grown. Will I still be able to find someone to.. ‘germinate’ with?

  16. Very informative. I prefer the smaller, smooth-skinned varieties. One day I'll try the cucamelons and yard long style.

  17. Frankly, I'd grow just about any cucumber if it had resistance to the cucumber beetle. They destroy even any variety that has been sold to me as resistant to wilt.

  18. I love English style cucumbers, Persian cucumbers, and Armenian. This video was great! The only thing I would add is to give a little more detail about flavor of the more exotic kinds and also more detail about how you eat them. For instance, with the orange Indian cucumbers do you eat the skin or cut it off first?

  19. Thanks for this. I'm from New Zealand and the names you use, not just for cucumbers but also potatoes and tomatoes to name just 3 are so very different, but the similarities are there. It's just a matter of reading the packet to ascertain what you want!

  20. I have all the Indian, African and central American seeds you presented 😊 from Migardener of course. Haven't grown the kiwano yet. But I love them all and really really really love the POONA KHEERA 😋 I still have pickles I made with them. Anyway thanks 👍🏾
