  2. Thank you so much for going over the 2 canners. I haven't found an All American Canner I can afford yet so think I'll look for the Presto when I head to Walmart in just a few minutes. I also have a glass top stove (wish I knew then what I know now). My digital canner really made learning less stressful. I actually had a false seal so I learned that first thing. I've been very afraid to can meat but, again, I'm heading to town for a good sale on ground chuck!! Yes I think these teaching videos are worth their weight in food😆👍👍

  3. 23 Quarts is kinda misleading on the Presto Box ,It will really will hold only 7 Quarts of canned food in the canner. It will hold 23 Quarts of loose materal or liquids .The Box ad is kinda misleading.

  4. What an awesome video! Intro straight from the brand new box explaining everything. Can't wait to see more. I learned from another You Tuber that with the Presto Canner, it is difficult to regulate pressure. She recommended the T-Fal. Another You Tuber likes the Denali brand. But, you can't go wrong with an American made Cadillac!

  7. It would have been at least 40 years ago but I am pretty sure from the looks my grandmother's pressure cooker was a presto. Besides her canning I remember her using it to make roast. The two big things she canned was green beans and peach preserves,

  8. Nice step by step intro ladies! I wish I was there with you. I water bath, and have an electric canner which is so easy. Like Kaye I have never canned with a regular pressure canner. You are covering exactly what I’d like to learn. Soups, raw packing and veggies. Can’t wait to see these videos. ❤

  9. That All American Pressure Canner is the bomb! I have the Presto 23 pressure canner and LOVE it. I also learned how to pressure can at age 68. I wasn’t sure if I could do it! OMG!!!! I LOVE pressure canning! I am addicted and look for things I can put in a jar on my shelf. I was scared to death to start but…once I get angry at myself, I become motivated to change, do something about it or get off the pot! I decided to DO IT and I did. If I was a young women and learning to pressure can, I’d invest in an All American and pressure can. You’ll love it, your family will love it and that canner will last generations. I’m praying to God above everyone here is inspired to pressure can. Do it! If I can pressure can and being dyslexic, anyone can!! You can can up just about everything you grow in your garden. My teeth are bad, soft. Pressure can meats are so tender an delicious I can eat the toughest meats…. ♥️ Love this video. Please ladies and gentlemen….pressure can. It’s fun and delicious food…♥️

  10. Great beginner canning video ladies! Look forward to the chicken and soup video as I tend to be just a single ingredient canner and then assemble meals from several jars. I am also getting some spare parts for my canner like the rubber seal ring, pressure gauge, and racks for the bottom just in case. Perhaps you could discuss raw vs hot pack on various foods as some might not like the texture of certain foods once processed. I typically cook the food after canning and don't like them turning to mush. Another topic is how to tell if a jar has gone bad after canning even if seal was not broken. Wishing you both an awesome day!

  13. If you have any questions about the accuracy of your pressure gauge on your canner contact your state's local ag extension office. In my state they offer pressure gauge accuracy checking and calibration. This is very important to do to make sure your canning is being done properly so that you food will be preserved safely.

  14. Sorry to be so late to the party. The workers were here late and I was knackered by the time they left! I love my All American Canner, and that very small one should be fine on your glass top, so long as you don't drop it on the glass. Be gentle. The AAC Recipes are really good, too! With your Presto, you should occasionally use a little olive oil on the gasket, and be sure and remove and wash the gasket. It will keep it supple longer. I used to always keep an extra gasket around, just in case. For either canner, you can also take your gauge to your local County Extension Office and have it calibrated and tested. My CE Office does it for free. ForJars lids are the BEST! Girl!! I need your Coupon Code 'cuz I need to stock up.

Hmmmm, hello ladies,my goodness I feel bit scared but yep watching and 1 thing at a time, slowly too I imagine, oh my so sensible kaye to show the steam would be going away from you also.its such exiting thing to be e preparing for ,I don't know hopefully one day I shall, will get mybe my sister to can together someday, here in the uk.. that was a ryme,..oh kaye now will you use your loofah trumpet to celebrate once you have made the first lot znd they have all popped 😉 .oh goodness I have a thing about towels(tea towels ect).so can never have too many,,,bless you both a super video,,xxxxsending on the share to my eldest daughter xx.thankyou,

  17. That All American pressure canner is the one I bought also. I wish I had bought the biggest one now, because it takes the same amount of time to can 7 as it does 27 !
    I have two kitchens (single guy, so, of course!) and I do canning outside using propane.

    Nubies: READ YOUR CANNER'S DIRECTIONS and save them for future reference.

  18. My Presto only came with a 15 lb weight. I bought a 5 and 10 lb weight so I’m not relying solely on the gauge.

  20. So glad you are doing these. I've done water bath canning, but not pressure canning. This is so helpful and it takes the fear out of it!
