In this video I’m taking care of the cottage garden flowers. A few of the roses and dahlias have pests and diseases I need to take care of and I also have some deadheading and pruning to do.

I like them as is!!😊😊😊😊😊
Leave them as is!
It looks like the overwhelming majority says to leave them as is and I have very little design skills so I'll follow the crowd on this one 😆 I loved the encompassing vibe of this video. You covered a lot of little important things to look out for and do 👍🏼 Definitely one I'll have to rewatch several times
I'd leave flower boxes as is, no paint
The window boxes are perfect as they are!!!
My opinion only… Keed the flower boxes the way they are for a good contrast with the thatch roof. Also, if you paint them, it will be something else to upkeep later (besides the plants). Great place you have. 👍
The window boxes are a nice touch, and 60% off is bonus!
I'd leave them as they are. You can always paint later (but not teal) if you want or they fade and don't look good anymore.
Thornless berries are awesome!
I vote "as is". Don't like matchy-matchy.
Whitewash the brown "wood"
Leave the window boxes as is.
Leave them as is. Looks nice.
Leave them as is. I like the contrast from the actual cottage
Everything is looking great! I think the window boxes should either stay as they are or be a neutral color if you folks aren't crazy about the color…you don't want to compete with whatever you grow in them. Thanks for the rose trimming tips. I'm new to roses and was pleased with myself for just deadheading…now I have to start paying attention to how I'm doing it! LOL
leave them as is
Leave the window boxes! They look great as they are.
Leave them as is ❤
I think they should be painted brick color.
I’d say leave them, OR paint a color like the chimney…terra cotta-ish…
Leave them as is…….
Leave them as is.
It's a nice contrast as is. Everything is looking great!
Paint them the color of your window trim. They’ll elongate the look of the window and not take away from the flowers. And of course add drip irrigation.
Leave them as is
Our rose busch was gorgeous our neighbors were jealous( in a good way) and we live in a desert state. Temperature can be 122 that year but it thrived we were getting roses all year. But I had to killed it and pulled it out because tur leaves when it dried out the wind blew it to our entrance constantly it just make our front yard looked dirty all the time. I do wish I can grow the flowers you grow. It's die in 30 second from the heat lol.
Leave the window boxes as is. You want the flowers to be the highlight not the window box.
As is
I like the black against your white cottage. It looks so pretty against the white and softer colors. It break up more of those soft colors just enough to make everything pop without adding too much darkness.
It is amazing how much you have been able to accomplish. The garden is really starting to look well established.
I think the flower boxes look great as is.
Leave the boxes as is. They add a nice little contrast.
Very helpful. Thank you! Beautiful garden!
I say paint the window boxes teal or terracotta! ❤😊
Leave them as is!
Leave them as is. They are cute
I would leave as is because the flowers or whatever you decide will have the color 😊
Paint the window boxes whatever color you paint the door.
Leave them as is!
I think the window boxes should be painted with the colors you used for the cottage as well.
beautiful
Paint them the color of the trim
Sorry, I am no help. I am torn between leaving them as they are or painting same color as trim😂.
You could paint just the black trim on boxes the blue of the door and it would fit nicely.
Beautiful all around. How would you suggest ridding myself of what looks like an all black tarantula that has made its home in one of the pockets of one of my greenstalks? I googled black tarantulas and I believe it to be a Brazilian variety people usually keep as a pet. I live in a suburban neighborhood and filled the pockets with straw I got from tractor supply. I know wonder if it came from the bag of straw. I have no idea where it originated from. I just need to know how to send it on its way, short of throwing the entire tower away 😂 or all the soil at the very least. 😳. Today I poured a mixture of neem, vinegar and water in. Truthfully though, I’m at my wits end already and I’m just one day into the discovery! On another note, I followed your advice on propagating dahlias with great success. 🤗 I’ll be planting them out and hopefully seeing blooms shortly! Thanks and happy cottage gardening! 💜
leave as is.
Leave as is. You want the flowers/plants to be the centerpiece.
the window boxes look very well as they are with the existing window trim.
Plastic planter boxes are resistant to rot and weathering. But I find plastic unattractive. If you paint it it looks like painted plastic. I would build a bigger box out of cedar pickets and put the plastic box inside it.
