Building A Greenhouse: Planning and Preparation

This fall I built a recycled window greenhouse. I started the preparations for it in late April and by the time the build started it went from a pile of lumber to closed up in less than a month. I had some help from family, but did most of this on my own. Let me tell you how an extremely novice builder designed and built a greenhouse from old windows.

  4. Hey PPG – love your channel. Need more Canadian garden channels. I have only 105 frost free days so I am also building a greenhouse. The twin wall polycarb panels need to have foil tape on the high end to prevent water from entering and special insect screen tape on bottom end. This is supposed to stop algae growth and keep the panes clean, but even so, I'm not really a fan.

I have a problem I'd love your input on… I bought too many peonies from Veseys this year and couldn't get them in before winter came. I have some ideas on how to save the roots but what would you do?
