Libbey glasses delight with holly accents, ideal for sprucing up your table. Mikasa gold rimmed glasses are regal and waiting to elevate your dining experience. See the Wedgwood Jasperware that is hiding amongst the plates. Johnson Bros. “Old Britain Castles” Christmas plates are my prize today. Saving money with a tree topper find that is headed to my home in Germany. Mother’s Day plates from 1971 represent my birth year, all the way from Spain and Denmark. I have plans to repurpose a plate into a china pendant. Stay tuned for an update on my groovy find. Lots to see in this episode.

Didn’t know anything about the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles collection when I purchased the Dudley Castle brown platter with old backstamp – I was born in Dudley so had to have it. Dudley Zoo is in the grounds of the Castle – aquarium is in the dungeon and big cats are in open spaces around the moat. First Saturday/Holiday job in High School was working in concession stands at the Zoo. Had to walk through the Zoo/Castle grounds, before it opened, up to the Queen Mary Ballroom to get day’s assignment. Loved the morning walks, not so much the winter evening walks!!👻🦇🦉
The Mikasa French Countryside tureen was wonderful – and I agree – so many uses !

I went to a warehouse in Silvertown E16 called Thrift factory Kilo sale !!
They had a massive selection you could spend a whole day there.
They only allow some people to pick and choose as they are really exporting mostly. but They also do events , thrift factory £10 per kilo
You need a strong back to go through the clothes as mostly in cages and trollies.
But it was worth it as many where Brand new with Tags.

Love finds! The Mother's Day dish with the boy and the goose is Norwegian. Much harder to find.
I really like the Mikasa tureen without the lid. I can see it filled with soil and planted with either paper whites or amaryllis. I think that would make a beautiful centerpiece.
