It’s looking a bit down, could use some cheering up

It just needs fresh air. I recommend strapping it to the back of a motorcycle and riding to Denver and back: that’ll perk it right up. (I used to run a carnivorous plant gallery in Dallas: I swear to Loki, Arioch, Crom, and Elvis that a guy came to me crying about how his Venus flytrap was dying “and I don’t know why.” Turns out that every weekend, he would put his pot on the back of his Harley and ride it around, and then wanted to argue with me when I told him that was almost as bad for the plant as setting off all the traps with his finger.)

Have you tried watering it? What about not watering it?

It actually looks rather pale, probably needs some sun. Just put it outside in the sunniest spot you can find. It should perk up when it can do some actual photosynthesis!

Absolutely not. What that thing needs is a transplant into dry soil (remember not to water) and a very dark closet area.
