Ecospheres SALTWATER: Microscope footage of a Hydroid medusa jellyfish, an Aiptasia aka glass anemone and a bristle worm. A reef tank’s enthusiast’s nightmare, I suppose lol. All welcome in my Seacosphere! January 16, 2024
Ecospheres This is not an ecosphere but I wanted to show what a hatched damselfly looks like, since many of us are ending with nymphs in our jars. They look a lot like dragonflies but their bodies look more like a stick. It hatched yesterday, so I put it in my skink vivarium since it’s freezing outside. January 15, 2024
Ecospheres My very first ecosphere from 10.25.2021. Everything is from the lake except the guppy grass. I didn’t know it can grow emerged too! January 14, 2024
Ecospheres Here’s a bit longer video of the 10 months old Seacosphere with usb microscope footage at the end. I don’t know what half of these are, but more and more life is popping up. I DO know that the purple stringy stuff is cyanobacteria. Unless it blooms it shouldn’t be a problem, right? January 13, 2024
Ecospheres I merged two ecospheres. One big one in balance but with little structurel organic matter like twigs and plants and one small one with a lot of structure and biodiversity January 13, 2024
Ecospheres Brine shrimp carrying eggs and moving the already laid eggs around. That’s why I don’t need an airstone to move them! January 12, 2024
