Both my lime and stone fruit tree are super happy, but I thought I’d rectify my over enthusiastic planting…

  1. Stone fruit tree doesn’t look too bad, got down to its toes and it looks like only one root has potential to gird but maybe it’s ok.
  2. Is the join between the fruit varieties likely to split in the future & is there anything I can do to prevent it? (I love this tree even though the plums are average).
  3. The lime roots look like a bit of a mess. Not sure if I should do anything or if it’ll sort itself out now.
  4. Exposing the flare on both these trees mean they’re now in a 10-15cm depression. I’m in Australia, so a bit more water retention is potentially helpful. But maybe it will be a problem 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for your advice tree lovers đź’š

This looks like additive roots. In both cases. It could be an indication that the trees were planted too deep.
