Both my lime and stone fruit tree are super happy, but I thought I’d rectify my over enthusiastic planting…
- Stone fruit tree doesn’t look too bad, got down to its toes and it looks like only one root has potential to gird but maybe it’s ok.
- Is the join between the fruit varieties likely to split in the future & is there anything I can do to prevent it? (I love this tree even though the plums are average).
- The lime roots look like a bit of a mess. Not sure if I should do anything or if it’ll sort itself out now.
- Exposing the flare on both these trees mean they’re now in a 10-15cm depression. I’m in Australia, so a bit more water retention is potentially helpful. But maybe it will be a problem 🤷‍♀️
Thanks for your advice tree lovers đź’š

This looks like additive roots. In both cases. It could be an indication that the trees were planted too deep.
