It costs exactly what I don't have while working 2 jobs. Time lol.
You are doing an excellent job, love the channel. Here in South Carolina the 100 degree heat is oppressive, my 8 knee surgeries, 4 back surgeries, and 2 shoulder surgeries should all give me reason not to grow food. I just feel it's more important than all those things. Plus I can barely afford what they are charging at the grocery.
Please keep up the good work, God Bless
It’s less than $120.00 after the first years to plant a garden.
Save the seeds, use your own grass clippings, crushed ground up leaves and make your own fertilizer.
This guy is so happy.
I have been watching and commenting for a year and i haven't seen my garden on here yet
Cilantro is becoming one of my dominant weeds.
When I buy fruits/ veg I always keep the seeds🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
The true cost of growing a garden is time.
Grow some taro!! The leaves are huge and amazing ❤
How Come this guy does not add in the cost of thousands of dollars for a house and property and or food and power and water bills? So it is obvious that it cost thousands of dollars to put in one garden just ask a farmer!
Yep, buy seeds once, save your best fruits and veg for seeds from then on. The genetics of the seeds also adjust for your growing conditions. Save your kitchen scraps and garden waste for compost and you can always enrich your soil for free too. I don't think I spend more that $1,500 per year on groceries and that is mostly for cleaners, flour, oil, and so on. I grow enough produce to be well supplied all year round. Is FREE groceries worth the time invested in growing your own? I think so.
Land , water and time then maybe fertilizer
The first year it is exorbitant, raised beds are hundreds, soil and compost also very expensive, hundreds. Going to farmers market is cheaper. After 5 years you might break even. After 10 you are saving money growing your own.
Oops 😂 ❤ sending love from Boston, Massachusetts
Here in California, water is rationed, if you use more, they charge exponentially higher rates at each tier, but it never rains in southern California, so it needs to be watered daily.
Then there's the varmit issue, rarely get seeds at the end of the season because the squirrels have stripped the plants. So the 2 dozen miniature nectarines cost about $500 this year 😂
grow beef not poison
You got to worry about pesticides which would be you spray spray anything in your garden at any time and you are a cheater the best insecticide is your fingers and your eyes maybe a little baking soda and water soap and water play don't look for instantaneous gratification nature does not work like that make weak solutions and simply spray more that way you do not compromise your soil nor your garden everything that goes into the ground stays in the ground basically 🤓 how much would you sell your land for don't take that too serious I've been historically anal retentive😊 food for thought?😊 Grow grow bro bro 🤓
mother nature provides everything we need. society has convinced us otherwise.
I love this BEAUTIFUL garden! AND I enjoy seeing the volunteers every year.
From what I've seen, and my own experience – even though I may have spent money – The cost is ZERO. Why?…because people do it for the shear enjoyment of it.
