  2. Thanks for all you do, JP and Tuck! You've really inspired my garden this year, and I am so grateful! ❤❤❤❤❤❤🧑‍🌾

  3. I let out a squee when I saw your Flying Dragon! We have both that, and a regular hardy orange (whose spines are even more wicked). Our Flying Dragon did it's first flowering this year, and now has fruit on it turning orange. I guess you can make pie and jam from the fruit, but I've not done so. From my understanding, hardy oranges are largely used for rootstock. I love the contorted branch structure of the Flying Dragon and it adds visual interest to the garden in the winter.
As always, ❤❤❤❤❤ for Tuck! 😊

  4. ❤❤❤I was ready to give up on fruit trees but the energy you share snaps me out of it! My pear trees have three varieties of pear grafted into it. Every year they all have the best flavor- but thick bitter skins. Anybody know how to fix that? THEN,there are the squirrels. Does clay keep them away? they walked off with all the harvest.

  5. I live in an apartment with no patio and only an inside front door in an enclosed hallway; so I really don’t have a way to grow anything. But I still love watching you grow food.
And I love seeing Tuck run his kingdom in the garden. You really rock James.

  6. James your garden is so nice. It’s looking amazing. I’d never want to go back up to the house if it mine.

  7. I love your food forest James! When you say you wrap your trees, could you show us how you do it? I have critters that like my fruit trees! I appreciate all you share and teach us!

  8. Good job to Clmcallen!! What an awesome Giveaway James, you gave out a $500 Vego Composter what a lucky guy to win it, job well done! Garden is looking good!

  9. I highly recommend some more cold hardy figs. I have +8 right now. There are so many varieties that can grow in zone 7. As you know fig trees are fast growing, low maintenance, long lived and productive. I started my food forest in 2021 with lots of trial and error so there's so much for me to learn. I look forward to seeing your garden every month as it definitely inspires me here in zone 7 Maryland.

  10. Watching you and Tuck❤❤❤ inspired me to plant alot more in my garden with beds filled with zucchini, sunflowers, beans etc !! I look at my garden differently now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful food forest!❤

  11. I finally got to eat an apple off my sentinel gold columnar apple this year….cuz they usually drop when I’m gone for the weekend. I espaliered numerous apples near it and planted a pink lady to serve as a step over apple. I have a volunteer pumpkin in my front yard! I am also able to pick blackberries when I walk out to my car in the morning. Turns out it was not a patio one as stated.
Congrats to CL McCowen on the composter. King Tuck, thanks for being a guardian!

  12. Yay for clmccowen and Tuck ❤❤❤! I really want to plant rhubarb, but will have to wait until I have a place for it. I'm glad to see it doing well in zone 7A because that's my zone too.
