Hi, a friend gifted me a Lithop for my office. Within the first couple days of owning, the Lithop split apart and the pups sprung forth as shown in the photos. I has been a month and although I was told to water it only very sparingly, I have not watered it at all in fear of causing it to rot. The soil seems to be very dry but the Lithop (babies included) is still very firm to the touch. Do you think I should water it now or wait another month or two? Thanks all.

Don’t water- they are receiving all the nutrients they need from the other leaves, which look to have plenty left in it.

Don’t water at all until those big leaves are gone.

In addition to what others said, I’ll add in that the plant will likely not need water for several months. I received a stack pair like yours (I.e. with both new and old leaf pairs still alive) and after 3 months with 0 water it’s only gotten through one leaf.
