Okay yall, I got this lithop from Lowe’s (clearance, I figured if I can’t save it, at least I tried). Unpotted it to find this. I’m not sure if these roots are alive or not.
What should be my next steps? At my disposal I have jacks gritty mix, perlite, espoma organic cactus mix, orchid bark, spaghnum moss, and coco coir. If there’s recommended material I don’t have, I can get it tomorrow.

The roots look fine but I would trim them and pot into 90% inorganic soil mix. I think jacks gritty mix is too large in grain size. However, i’m not too familiar.
I would recommend fine pumice, coarse sand, lava rock, calcined clay, or chicken grit for the inorganic materials. Just make sure the grain size is mostly 3-5mm. If you can’t find it in stores they should be on amazon.
Other people might have better suggestions.
