Can someone confirm or deny if I am doing this right? I ordered an assorted, growers choice bare root lithops pack, on Etsy, and received them 2 weeks ago. I followed the best steps of care I had gleaned from everything… I soaked the ones that looked okay to soak to get their roots going (above water on cardboard with holes). That was 25 of 27 of them. 2 of them looked ready to split and had a shared tap root (these two are technically 4 plants). I mixed a medium of crushed quartzite, sand, perlite, gravel, zeolite, and no more than 10% succulent soil. I potted the two sets of two that were splitting separately from the others, I attached a picture. They are under a grow light 14 hours right now as I am switching some things to give them a south facing window.
The instructions from the seller was to not water for 2 weeks, which is today. And I realized all the videos don’t say HOW to administer water or amounts. How do I water? Bottom water? Top water? With a pipette and just put some water droplets?
As for the smaller pot, do you believe they are splitting? That blister looking thing on top wasn’t there when I got them. They are still firm, no signs of rotting. But I do not know when they had water last. I’m kind of afraid to screw this all up.
Thanks for reading this far. I appreciate any help you can offer.

The larger pot has a pleiosplilos nelii in the centre which has different watering needs so people usually recommend separating them into a different pot!
For watering, you could use a watering squeeze bottle so you can control how much and where the water goes. I water just enough to ‘rinse’ the top of the pot. Water sparingly since it’s better to give too little and adjust rather than give too much and regret it lol. When watering after a repot, the soil should be slightly moist (NOT WET) for a few days to allow them to root well. After that, follow the watering schedules that’s available on the main page. You can use a tooth pick or stick to check how moist your soil is in between watering.
Others may have better experience than me but that’s what’s worked best for me so far.
As for the second pot it looks like sun stress from the redness on the otzeniana and wrinkling. Move them away from the light and slowly introduce them closer to the light every few days. That spot is too bright for them so I would move them further from the light in their final spot. Also, I wouldn’t water them until the lighting has been adjusted for a few days.
Good luck!
yeah, I don’t think anything in that second pot is splitting, but the two larger ones are either fried to a crisp or rotting. only time will tell.
