Even on a dull day (British summertime reliably throwing in a few of those recently accessorised with some added torrential rain) greens sparkle & look inviting. This #tbt garden has a muted, easy to live with (& easy to garden) palette with shrubs & small trees taking centre stage. I love an attention grabbing perennial as much as the next person but, call me old fashioned… you can’t beat a good shrub!
