You forgot a really good one , Yarrow is very good at repelling mosquitoes can be rubbed on the skin for a natural repellant and grow's VERY easily because it's basically a weed. I couldn't get rid of what is growing wild in my yard if I wanted to…lol

There are several of these plants in my raised bed garden. Haven’t had a problem with mosquitoes this year!! Hurray for Mother Nature!!
You forgot shoo fly. I grow a ton of that to keep bugs out of my garden. I'm not sure how well any plant works on large infestations. I have a small cabin in a Alaska swamp filled with wild geraniums. I also planted shoo fly all around. Mosquitoes are still swarming. I do know that you can see a visible pest free zone around shoo fly growing in a garden. Pests will eat young shoo fly but healthy adult ones nothing will touch it.
Great video James! I have quite a few of those mentioned and wondered if i can make a water based tea with those and spray us down to keep the mozzies away? Might leave the garlic out though so it doesn't keep the humans away too! lol
I got bitten as our temps are rising this week and it's been humid all year but yes typical they bit me on the outer knobbly bit of my elbow of all places! I tend to swell up a bit too so wonder if something like calendula or chamomile would help?
I have a lot of herbs and trap crop flowers and also growing more flowers for pollinators. Just touching on homoeopathy more now. I have always just used lavender and rosemary in organza bags in the closets to keep the moths and bugs out but a natural bug repellent spray would be great for sensitive skin.

The plants do not repel the mosquitos by simply being near you. It's the oil in the plants that some bugs do not like. Unless you're going to roll around in your plants, they will do nothing to repel mosquitos from your person.
Pit bull farts would repel an entire army.

Only thyme comes in my mind at this time. I found out it is perennial (at least survives second year), blooming and repels mosquito. Also I like to use it when cooking.

These are all really good tips for keeping mosquitoes away from your planting areas, and anyone with a mosquito problem should definitely follow all these informative instructions. That being said, if you don't have mosquito problems, and have deer / other pest problems, masking the human scent isn't a great idea. I know they sell predator scents like coyote and fox scent to deter a lot of critters in NJ, but masking your human scent is really dependent on your current situation.
