đŸ‘€ So excited to see this flowering : Stewartia malocodendron; the #silky #Camellia. #rare in cultivation in the UK, from the southeastern sates of #America; a large #shrub / small #tree that at this time of year is covered in these #white #flowers with the distinctive #purple stamens. It generally needs #summer heat, which we occasionally get @exburygardens (!). Grows well in #woodland conditions, moist, lime-free, humus-rich soils with the roots fully shaded. A #beauty đŸ‘€
