Gifted a FLF, white spots on leaves?

I was gifted the FLF. The first picture shows a broken leaf which I assume it is best to remove? Besides that there’s a few leaves with white spots. Seems to be varying info online whether it’s under/over watering or a fungus or infection. Any suggestions on first steps to make this guy happy? Thanks!
