-Treated 2X4: 10′ Length – X2
12′ Length – X2

-4X4: 42″ X4
28″ X2
14″ X2

-2X4: 39.75″ X6
11.25″ X12
Runners X2 (Approximately 57-58″ Long) I recommend you measure these and cut them to the size/length of your bucket garden.

welcome back to the Ido panhandlers everyone my name is Danny and today we are building this guy this is the nine bucket container garden and I’m basically going to show you guys exactly how we built it and what we used to build it so for this entire build we are very fortunate to have a video sponsor and that is no one other than Lowe’s Home Improvement now a few days ago I actually placed an online order at Lowe’s and then was actually able to pick it up a couple of nights ago at about 8:30 at night went in it was a super smooth process loaded all my lumber up pretty late at night and then actually dro home and then got to work yesterday and built this nine bucket container garden so with that being said everything that you see in front of me from buckets to Lumber the hardware to secure the whole entire bucket Garden together everything was bought from Lowe’s you can find everything every item down in the description box below so about a year ago we actually filmed and made a very very similar video and if you remember it that was the 12 bucket container garden which is very very similar to this one it just had one more bucket per tier and that video did fantastic you guys have shown a lot of great feedback towards it and if you’re looking for something maybe a little bit bigger I’ll leave a link down in the description and I’ll pop it up here on the screen for you guys to check out as well as far as how everything turned out our Harvest last year was fantastic and I highly recommend looking into bucket gardening and doing it if you’ve never done so before so over the course of the video I’ll be popping the cut list up here on the screen and I’ll put it down in the description box and I’ll also be including everything else that we used in this video as well to try and make it as easy for you guys to construct as possible uh without further Ado let’s get into the build of the nine bucket container garden and thank you again for Lowe’s for being our sponsor for this video hope you guys enjoy it and let’s get into the build so we’ve got our treated 4×4 post that we bought right here and again I’m going to throw the entire cut list down in the description but for the treated 4x4s let’s cut them up into what we need and I’ll pop it right up here on the screen so we’re going to need four 4x4s all cut at 42 in long we’re going to need two 4x4s both cut at 28 in long and then we’ll need two treated 4x4s both cut at 14 Ines long so let’s get our miter saw here on the table and let’s cut them into size5 E5 Okay so [Music] [Applause] 42 okay so time to cut the treated 2x4s that we have here to my left your right and I’ll pop the cut list up here on the screen again but in total we need six of these 2x4s all cut at 39.75 in and then we need a total of 12 2x4s all cut at 11.25 in and then we’ll save one of the 12T 2x4s for the end to cut our Runners but I want to measure those at the end to make sure that we get the lengths exactly right so bear with me let’s get it cutting our 2x4s and it should all click once we start [Music] assembling [Music] okay so we just got done cutting our six 2x4s all cut at 39.75 in Long behind it we have two 12T long 2x4s and we’re going to use one of them to cut down 12 11 and 1/4 in long pieces so cutting this many small pieces can be a little bit tedious and can take a little while so what I did was I actually set up a little stop block or a jig where you just place your 2×4 against your miter saw wall it’ll hit this little wall and then you’ll cut every single piece at 11.25 in you just kind of have to take a minute do a couple sample Cuts with scrap wood and then get it dialed in and now we’ll be able to cut really really quickly B it is March 19th and I am burning I’m burning I’m hot man okay so we are about 95% done with our Cuts we just have a couple of Runners to cut at the very end of the build and I’ll show you how to do that when the time comes um but with being how far we are into the project and essentially having not very much Lumber left to cut that only means one thing and that it’s time to assemble our nine bucket container garden so we’re going to clear off the entire table or the little workbench that I have here and we will get to assembling and I’ll show you how to do it so before we actually assemble the nine bucket container garden I just wanted to quickly review everything that we cut so far so we have four 4x4s all cut at 42 in long we have two 4x4s both cut at 28 in long we have two more 4x4s both cut at 14 in long we have six 2x4s all cut at 39.75 in long so finally we have 12 2x4s all cut at 11.25 in long okay so some of the tools we’ll be using for assembling our bucket Garden we have an impact drill I have 10 3inch lag screws that also got picked up from Lowe’s last night and then I’ve got some two and A2 in just wooden deck screws again from Lowe’s so uh we’ll get those kind of ready set off to the side and we’ll get the first part of our build up here on the workbench all right so we are going to be assembling our tiers first and we’re going to make three of these and they’re all going to be identical so we’ll take two of our 39.75 in 2x4s and then four of our 2x4s and essentially we’re just going to create a little rectangular box pretty simple kind of like so next we’re going to take our 11 and 1/4 in 2x4s all we’ll need is two of them and essentially they’re going to make the holes for where our buckets will go a little trick that I like to use to get the spacing just right is I’m just going to take another one of our pieces of our 2x4s and we know they’re 11 and a/4 inch long I’ll use two I suppose and then we’ll just take one that we actually need to use nice and snug and that’s essentially our ideal spacing right there we’ll screw that guy in [Music] okay so this is what we should be left with place them in we should be left with something like that so now we’ve just got to make two more of [Music] these a all right so we’ve got one two and three tiers okay so it is finally time to attach the legs that we cut earlier to the tiers that we just built now we’re going to be using these 3-in lag screws that I bought from Lowe’s and I just wanted to show you guys because the bit that goes into these 3-in lag screws is slightly uncommon if you have a little kit like I do of bits then you’ll probably have it but it’s a T30 like star bit that you’re going to need to fit into these 3-in deck screws I just wanted to show you guys so let’s get into it and let’s attach the legs starting with the 42-in [Music] ones all right so just so you guys see it I am going to throw a couple more of these 2 and 1/2 in deck screws and along with the lag screw [Applause] here the tricky part here this was a lot harder I can imagine with the one I did last year the four bucket oh boy hold watch your toes so next we just have our 28 in legs like so okay next we’ve got the 14inch legs same exact thing here [Music] [Music] Bingo let’s do it all we do essentially is rest it get it level and then screw it in all right and then we’ve got our lower tier here all right so that is the basic shape it came out really really good but the only other thing left to do as I kind of mentioned earlier in the video is we need to cut the last 2×4 that I have right here behind me and we need to make the runners that basically just connect all the legs together um and that will kind of help keep the shape Square it up a little bit make it so the legs aren’t so wobbly just kind of stabilize everything in place so we’ll measure those individually cut them and attach them and then essentially we will be done 57 and an [Music] eth nice about 57 and 3/16 [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] yeah [Music] all right so that concludes the entire build of our nine bucket container garden thank you guys so much for watching and thank you to Lowe’s again for sponsoring the entire build as I stand here right now it is March 20th and hopefully within the next month month and a half this entire bucket Garden will be completely planted along with the 12 bucket version that we have out in the garden as we speak if you guys enjoyed this video be sure to leave a big thumbs up on it comment down below and subscribe to the Ido pan handlers and we will see you on the next video thank you guys so much for watching

  1. Your measurements might be confusing for some because they require converting from decimals before they work with a standard measuring tape. 39.75" = 39 3/4" & 11.25" = 11 1/4"

  2. I can't believe it is that time of year already!!!

Congrats on the Lowe’s sponsorship!!! They made a wise choice!!!

Glad to see Lolly at the ready to lend a helping paw!!!

Good to see the DeWalt back in action.

Hmmm, that yellow folder in your pocket looks familiar. 😊

Great job explaining everything. You made it idiot proof, just the way I like it!

Any ideas what you will be planting in them? Will you be planting the same vegetables as last year or will you be planting something new?

Last year you mentioned building a big enclosure. Do you still have plans to do that? I get it, that is a huge project, but we were just curious.

BTW: Your front yard looks great! Hard to believe it is mid-March!!!

Another outstanding job! Can’t wait to see the next video!!!

    Be well and stay safe!!!

  3. Hey great video glad you listed everything out parts and cuts that made this job pretty easy ty 😊 I added a handle up front and 8 inch casters on backside for maneuvering around
