Can’t Grow Where Honeysuckle Was

A little before and after. Have some spots near the fence where honeysuckle used to be, and I can’t seem to get grass to grow there. What’s the deal?

Honey suckle produces a chemical that won’t allow anything to grow under it. Now that you’ve removed it, just some nice flowers or something. It acts as a preemergent. Your yard looks great by the way.

No idea what spots you’re talking about but add some top soil to dilute the honeysuckle chemicals left behind.

That yard looks very peaceful and inviting. Great job!
