Hydroponics

First time hydro, long time soil grower

Getting my water chillers soon. I topped almost half the plants. These are all fem so I might actually flip in a week. Just going for concentrated tops, cause it’s gonna be tiiiight.

H202 and slf 100 cleaned the hell out of the roots and water, but when to replace?

I’m planning to incorporate hydroguard as well.

just my 2 cents: because you have so many plants this probably isn’t an issue but your netcups are TINY for cannabis. The stalk on my plant is bigger than your netcups and i only vege it for a month… That being said my canopy is also bigger than your entire tote. I think your plant density is too high but some of them will still grow, flipping these tiny things to flower will probably get you some buds but they’re gonna be tiny.

They look happy and healthy so you’re doing hydro right!

Look great. But too many plants in my experience. This particular setup is better suited for smaller type plants that don’t develop ginormous root systems (strawberries, lettuces, herbs, leeks, etc). That being said, I have seen these work with turn and burn clones in a SOG kind of fashion. Several small yielders vice one large yield… But in general, this isn’t what I would use to grow cannabis.

I run hydroguard and change out rez every couple weeks. I’m sure it could run longer but better safe than sorry. Water temps are kept at 68 to 73 via an aquarium chiller…..I run it much colder at the end of flower to speed finish up. I found aquarium chillers for $165 that comes with a transfer pump, good up to 40gals.

That tent is gonna be a MESS once they stretch and flower. They look fantastic though.

At this point they are ready to flower…I would do 2 plants each tote…they are going to crowd each other…resulting in smaller plants

Heavy pruning will not save you, all you will do is reduce yields, you have constructed something very similar to the sea of Green, which means flowering should come sooner than later, your best advantage is to flower at node 5 and hang on for the ride ! Good luck !

    Here’s a tip.

H202 kills SLF-100 and hydroguard since it’s living beneficial bacteria.

Can’t do both. Two choices in hydro, sterile or Beneficial bacteria for fighting off the algae and pythium.

Unfortunately you are wasting money with the slf-100. Give the owner Newton a call for more in depth knowledge on the subject.

It sounds like H202 is working for you. Continue with that. Hypochlorous acid is another sterile use.

I run Orca and SLF-100 together. It works great.

    Good luck 👍
