I posted last fall after I de-thactched, aerated, sanded & leveled my lawn, before putting down fall seed. This is what we have now. I put down some pre-emergent, and gave it one shot of crabgrass & weed spray. I pulled dandelions from the root, we didn't have many that only took me like 30min.
For any noobs like myself, the only advice I have is use those old school reel mowers. I bought one at the Fleet Farm last fall on clearance for like $80 and the grass grows so fast now and the cuts are very smooth. I guess if you have a really big lawn and use a rider, get the reel mower attachments.
On the downside of the reel mowers, I do need to go over each section 2x to make sure we get a good clean cut and don't miss stragglers. My small yard only takes about 30min to cut.
Thanks for all the great posts and advice I've gotten from this sub.😊👍

Hey! Did someone say *crabgrass*? Here are [pictures of crabgrass](https://www.google.com/search?q=crabgrass&tbm=isch) and [control options for crabgrass](https://www.lawndork.com/weeds/crabgrass).

Looks fantastic, great job!
You done good, young padawan
Did you top dress after you over seeded? I am genuinely curious because I’ve heard that it is not necessary
What was your method? Zone?
