So I got my first nepenthes a bit ago. And it’s starting to put out its first new leaf/ pitcher. It looks fuzzy and brown on the end. Is this normal or is my pitcher still adjusting and the new pitcher is coming in badly? Also should I cut off the existing pitcher because of the way the cap has turned black?

That looks right for a new nepenthes pitcher. Sometimes the little embryos are hairy. You can get rid of the old pitcher or keep it around, it could be digesting something still.
