I got this philodendron Florida ghost cutting for free, because it’s been sitting in sphagnum moss for about a month and still hasn’t rooted.
I pulled it out to take a look and it’s not looking promising, but there’s one nubby thing that seems like it could take under the right conditions.
Do you think this one’s save-able, or a dud? Should I leave it in the sphagnum moss? Maybe dip it in rooting powder and transfer to water instead?
(I also got 2 other rooted cuttings with new growth points, so it’s not the end of the world if I can’t save this one—but obviously would love to help this guy thrive if possible!)
Thanks in advance for any advice 🙏

So I have one and this is what I think:
Ghosts prop extremely well, Ive always done mine in water and I have 100 percent success rate. Id go with that if I were you.
But as a fair statement it almost looks like the aerial roots were cut or damaged, so the cutting may not have the capability of growing roots at this point.
Id still try. I find in about a month I have lucious roots when in just water.
I wanna guess putting then in water till they begin to grow roots on roots and then plop em to soil. Here’s a [water propagation video I found for you although most of its showing how to cut a cutting](https://youtu.be/M2s07y06z0U?si=k0XxY_Wj75drNcGV)
