  5. Enjoy your garden updates – so much growing and more to plant. Hope you get a break in the weather to finish planting. The cats don't seem to mind the wet grass and surprised they eat mushrooms. Love that purple iris too. Have a blessed week…

  6. LOL. Wild prickly lettuce and Sweetie Annie will reseed voraciously. Rain and cold wind today in East Central Oklahoma.

  7. I have turned my front garden into an herbal garden–culinary/apothecary. There were 3 bushes in there that had been very beautiful, but they had some dead spots that appeared recently, AND they had really MEAN thorns. I wanted them out, so our neighbor pulled them out last week. I put 4 elderberry bushes in there instead! SCORE!!!

  8. I finally was able to plant some things today. I didn't get cool weather crops in because everything got away from me but I'll do them for fall. It felt so good to get out in the dirt! I got my dropper bottles yesterday so I can get my tinctures bottled up.

  9. The Cabbage leaves can be dried and used in a "mixed greens," nutritional additive to soups and casseroles or smoothies. Also, you can powder it and load capsules for a nutritional supplement.
