Ecospheres

This is from one of my first posts. It’s an algae culture I made like a mad scientist.

Heres the original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Springtail/s/cpLOKMktxd

I believe this was a culture of deck algae. It works good in water and especially on land. The water was just tap water.
Other organisms are obviously at play or it wouldn't move like that.

I think this is a good workhorse algae because nothing gets stuck in it like the filamentous stuff, it's easy for critters to eat and it produces a ton of oxygen.

I made it to seed terrariums.

Edit: I believe the main algae is called Protococcus. You’ve all seen it.

Actually here’s a source for algae if you’re really having trouble finding a certain kind.

PSA: gloves and hand sanitizer are your friend when dealing with something this active. Protect your eyes and don’t touch your mouth either.
