Pothos

Please help :(

My pothos is looking really yellow and I feel so bad 🙁

Initially I took it out of its smaller pot it has been in, to place it into a slightly bigger one (as currently pictured)

It was root bound though. So I gently unraveled the roots, and trimmed them a bit so they wouldn't be too long in the new pot.

I replanted. Used potting soil. Watered.

And the plant is looking worse than it did when it was root bound in its tiny pot 🙁

Any advice would be appreciated!

If it were me – you have some root starts in the first picture on the tendril towards the bottom. I’d cut that off and stick it in the soil to fill it out a bit, and do the same with similar pieces.

Also terra cotta dries out really quickly, could the soil be getting too dry?

It looks like it was already sick, the long vines have trouble supporting themselves. I see where a lot of leaves have dropped off and that makes me think it might have been overwatered.

Plants have super fine hair like roots that take up moisture. So teasing out the roof and trimming them has removed some of its ability to get water. I might be a wait and see situation. I agree that propagating is a good idea.
