if I was waiting for a warm day I
wouldn’t get nothing done so today I’m
working on my pathway I doubled my
cardboard I’m going to put this black
mulch down and in the winter I put like
a
single thing of cardboard down the other
end so I’m going to have to double
that and so I doubled it on this end and
so I’m going
to I guess rake that much back this way
so I can get another get another uh coat
of cardboard so it’ll last longer and I
got to cut that Evergreen back some
because uh the exterminated people are
coming today to get rid of the raccoon
hopefully so this bed is looking pretty
good I trim back the Roses
I can’t believe this Claus is growing
way up here at the top and trying to
have flowers on
it one little
piece yeah I might move that
mirror that mirror over there I might
move it over here in the middle of this
lettuce think about a little bit more so
this purple flower
that’s a JGA it’s a ground
cover and so I don’t have to worry about
trying to put so much mulch down and
then in this little
Billa oh a dead
bird a cat must oh he’s not dead oh he’s
just nesting on the ground what you
doing are you
hurt I don’t know he’s just sitting
there H I don’t think is a
nest what you doing on the ground just
sitting
there wow that’s unusual well I’m not
going to mess with you let you just go
on and
relax so the JGA is doing pretty good
over
here you better move before the Cat come
that’s all I’m going to say don’t don’t
sit there till the Cat come so I have my
my drench stuff coming I put some on
this bed what I little bit I had left
but it wasn’t really enough but it
seemed like it’s helped some cuz I don’t
see any bugs over here any those beetles
but whenever I get it I’m going to
drench the whole flow bed cuz I didn’t
do the whole flow bed I just did over
here cuz that’s where I saw most of the
bugs at cuz I only had enough for one
dose this is
Myrtle my Lil loock tree is blooming I
bought this at the Eastern Market maybe
like 3 years ago so this is about 3
years that this has been in this
pot my PO rose
bush I don’t know if it’s going to make
it I might have to just cut it back
severely and take it off this pot and
plant it in the ground it was so pretty
last year but it’s not doing
good oh
well so
I don’t know about this rose bush over
here either I might get some climatic to
grow up on this side of the
archway
maybe so this is the next bed I’m going
to tackle
here
because all these hydranges have to be
cut
back before they start making leaves
on these tall Parts hanging out you
don’t want that it’s going to take all
the strength from the plant and I need
to fertilize it because I’m you know
supposed to do it in April and April’s
almost gone I haven’t even fertilized
them same thing with these ones in the
back I need to cut them back some and
fertilize them cut these roses back and
fertilize
them yeah I got a lot to do out here it
won’t warm up so I can’t wait for it to
warm up to do this because it’s it’s
just not warming up and I’m going to put
boxes down back
here after I get through cleaning the
bed because I have this ground cover
coming
again this stuff here I don’t even know
the name of
it see it there it’s
banned in Australia you can’t even have
that plant in Australia it’s that
invasive so I didn’t know that when I
bought it
oh
well so yeah I need to cut cut these
roses
back uh maybe
tomorrow so I cleaned out this flower
bed last week so it looks pretty good
see I have lies growing up here I need
to put some of that drench over here too
to keep the the bugs from eating this up
this is going to be a a a lavender
flower it’s so pretty I bought that at
English Gardens last year I don’t know
the name of it you really don’t have to
know the name of every flower if you if
you just like it just go on and buy
it
yeah this bed is looking pretty
good and this is going to be kind of
like a bluish color real pretty and it’s
just kind of waves in the wind when the
wind
blows some of this stuff in here is
weeds
yeah this this is a hydranga in this pot
now it’s looking pretty good I’m going
to probably leave it in the pox it’s
doing good but that rose bush over there
it’s got to go so I earlier I put this
cardboard down and so I put the mulch on
top of it and I have another bag here so
I’m debating whether I’m going to put
black over here I’m going to put some
more cardboard down behind the
plants this here is
is easia from last year that’s coming
back I bought these couple of little
shrubs for some some some
interest so I’m probably put some more
cardboard down over behind here and I’ll
put uh Mulch on top of it and then mulch
around the plants as they’re growing out
I might put annuals here for some color
but I have a bunch of perennials over
here I don’t know what’s what so as
things come up this it look like a weed
I’m going to pull it out but I have some
perennials over here I threw some wild
flowers here one year and so some of
these things it came up were wild
flowers but I have a whole bunch of
black ey sus and just tons of black ey
sus and I planted these irises last year
my friend gave me U some
irises yeah I over fertiliz my
tulips and they just got burnt up from
the fertilizer
oh my I would have did better just
putting them in the ground well
hindsight is
2020 so the inspector has come and
gone I have a raccoon
problem he is getting in the house
through the
soet and I found this over in the flower
bed this is part of the s that he pulled
off with his little paws right busy just
busy one more thing that got to be done
