I just got these two plants two weeks ago, and have had them in a macrame holder in a bright spot. The holder is not suffocating, it has sides that hold it in place but the whole back is open and airy. I've been keeping an eye on them, as I've tried air plants before and failed miserably, either over or under watering. I took a peek this morning and they seem soft and they're browning at the bottom. I haven't watered them yet (I was going to last week, and then got heavily distracted by one of my toddlers getting a nasty stomach bug), I'm in western Canada and it's not warm out, and my house has average humidity. Any tips and help would be appreciated. I'm struggling to understand their need signals.
