The other week I found two abnormal tulips in a bed, one with an extra set of tepals/stamen/stigma, and one, which while definitely tulip adjacent from the stem down, had a whole mess of tepals.
I was wondering what mechanisms cause these, and if the latter is related to the similar variation that can be observed in daffodils.
