I've got a small hobby farm of 20 acres. I've recently been spending more time learning how to do things myself (raised gardens, chicken coop, etc.) and now I want to tackle a fence (40m x 40m).
I like the above design and it looks straight forward enough (set poles, recess posts) but I'm not quite sure how to recess the posts? I assume holesaw all the way through and that's it, but my brain also thinks that removing only partial material would be stronger and have less "movement". If the latter, how would you remove the excess? Chisel or something more "Industrial"?

These are usually doweled ends like this

Don’t do this with a hole saw, you’ll have a bad time. Get posts that already have holes and pre-doweled rails
