Cheap Grow Light

Just starting out and want to grow simple greens – lettuce, herbs – and after researching learned that shop lights can do the job? I saw these simple ones at Lowes.

Could I get away with these?

  1. If the watts and lumens listed on the site are accurate it should work, but you may have to put them close to the plants or double them up.

    Cheap shop lights are always a good start to indoor growing since if it doesn’t work out you can repurpose the lights easily.

    Cheap = not great results.

    It’s not the piece I recommend skimping on. IMO.

    A led grow light should be over 200$.

    I know some manufacturers, if you contact them directly, will sell refurbished lights. Or repaired lights.

    Thats the cheapest way to go.

    Good luck ✌️
