Homesteading

One of my hens is developing a bald spot.

They’re all the same age and have been a flock together since they were chicks. I’m assuming this is just normal pecking order stuff. Is it anything to worry about?

Henpecked. Pecking order. Etc etc etc.

This bird is low on the totem pole for eating and gets pecked away.

I had one that was like that and the rooster was bullying her so I separated him from the flock for a while and he doesn’t do it now ,hens were young .

The more red other hens see on her the more they are going to peck the shit out of her – whether the wound was rooster-gained or not. If you want to protect her get some violet spray on that asap.
