fertilizer recommendations for magnesium deficiency?

my frydek was doing so well until it dropped two leaves at once to push this guy out. the newest leaf hasn’t hardened after two weeks of being unfurled. after doing some research, it seems like a magnesium deficiency. i currently use schultz plant food when watering (10-15-10) and it contains no magnesium. i’m about to purchase calmag for my lemon tree; would that be okay to use on my alos as well??

I mix cal-mag with my fertilizer for all my Alocasias.

I prefer to use products, such as Cal/Mag, that have both pour on & foliar spray application.

    [I generally apply it 1x a month.](https://imgur.com/a/CMTQUX1)

Foliar sprays are more rapidly absorbed/utilized, which is good if you know or suspect the plant has a deficiency.
However, for long term usage- pour-on application is “best” for use on indoor Alocasia, as it’ll reduce the likelihood of potential plant health problems that can be caused/exacerbated by “misting” indoor alocasia w/ water (such as fungal disease, slower growth, etc…).

Fwiw, I bump up cal/mag use to 2x a month for plants that are preparing/showing signs they’re entering a flowering cycle, & continue at this rate **at least** until they’ve either ceased flowering or fruiting (infructence w/ berries/fruit).
