Philodendron

Why are my glorious’ leaves unfurling like this?

About a month ago I got this beautiful glorious. Its most recent leaf (pic 2) looked a bit crooked but I thought it would straighten out over time. Its newest growth point was already quite established so soon after I brought it home the new leaf already started emerging. However, today I noticed that it hadn't grown in over a week and that it was actually stuck, yet it still looked very normal. I decided to check whether it would unfurl with some help, and indeed, I could easily unfurl it myself without the leaf wanting to roll up again, indicating it really was stuck. When doing so I heard some cracking sounds so I expect it was EN that held everything together. I'm quite bummed about this happening because it promised to be a pretty leaf.

Now I have two questions that the philodendron community might help me with:

  1. Will the coloration in the part that was inside of the roll and the shape of my new leaf (pic 1) ever get back to normal?

  2. Because the previous leaf (pic 2, prior to acquisition) probably had the same issue, I would like to know what I can do to avoid this for the next leaf. Humidity is always at about 50-60% and I thought this plant wasn't very picky about it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊
