I got this Florida beauty cutting at plant swap, it’s beautiful but I’m suspicious whether there’s a growth point.
As you can see this is not a node cutting (which I thought it was because of the picture they posted online), the node attached to this leaf had already put out a new vine and got cut again. So there’s 3 sections on the new vine left, which I assume should have growth point right?
The person I got this from said they cut it 2 months ago and grew a new plant out of that cutting, and it’s been sitting in soggy perlite & dirt doing nothing. Since I got it 2 weeks ago, I put it into Leca under a grow light. It’s grown some tiny new roots since, but no sign of new growth point.
What’s your opinion on this – is there a growth point or not…? And how to activate it if there is. Thank you!!
TL;DR: can this cutting that’s been cut already grow again?

The red circle looks like some growth is happening.
Mine took foreverrrrr to grow but she had like zero roots. Yours will likely pop off here just keep being patient is my advice.
Hopefully you didn’t have to pay for this. It’s a pretty shady thing to pass on to someone else under the guise of it being a regular non-tampered cutting. In the third picture I see some change in color where an auxiliary bud would likely be but I can’t say for sure. Really all you can do is give it time and see if any new growth happens. It’s a beautiful leaf for now.
