I’m assuming I can’t eat these anymore…but can I plant them? 👀

I procrastinated cooking something with the rest of these and they got impatient 🤣

Put it in the ground with some fertilizer if you have the space. I have organic potatoes growing very well outside right now.

I would cut those off & cook it unless I wanted to cut it up and plant potatoes. I have many times. Just peel away any green skin.

They are 100% fine to eat. Just rub off the sprouts.

You COULD plant them… but potatoes you buy in the grocery store are not checked for diseases. Potatoes sold specifically as seed potatoes are rigorously checked for common diseases. To me, it’s not worth the risk of planting grocery store potatoes and introducing the common potato diseases to my soil. I stick with seed potatoes for planting.

You can eat it. Where do you think it cane from in the first place?

You can still eat them, just take off the sprouting bits. Rubbery potatoes like that are great for potato recipes that call for less moisture like gnocchi and hashbrowns.
