Hello recently I have brought an N. Izumaea, and I am wondering whether anyone has any tips to enable the best growth for a Nepenthes this small as this is the first I have ever brought which is this young, thanks a lot
I’m also in the UK and have a few Nepenthes from hants. What’s helped mine a lot is using hants’ capillary mats instead of watering through the pot. I find it keeps the soil constantly damp but never wet, which is perfect for these. I use Sainsbury’s ravioli plastic packaging as a base—so capillary mat at the bottom and the pots stand on top. I add enough rainwater every morning to make the mat soaked but ensure there is no actual standing water.

The izumiae is a true highland species so it wants a temperature drop at night and not too hot during the day. Some highlanders can be kept at normal indoors conditions, not sure about the izumiae though.
