I've had this dracaena that has just been such a drama queen. I repotted it about a month ago because it was dying and after that it was doing well but suddenly the offshoot rotted seemingly overnight. I cut the offshoot above the rotted part but l'm not sure if it's too far gone to root. If I can root it, should I let it callus before sticking it in water?

You can put it directly in water. I did with mine and it took about a months before for it to root
