Chop them off or direct them into the soil. The plant will be fine if you cut them.
Diggin the Xmas light btw!

I placed them back into the pot when they’re long enough.

I always snip off aerial roots. It doesn’t hurt the plant (contrary to erroneous popular belief).

Nice plant!
pit_choun
You can cut them, direct them back into the pot, leave them, direct them into water….
GoldenBarracudas
Twist them around and put them in soil or cut them off.
Ravio11i

They will eat you if you don’t chop them off. Just wrap you all up and eat you. Be careful 😉
I chop mine off, because I don’t want to be eaten and I have so many other plants they WILL grab and choke out your others lol these things have a mind all their own

If you put them in the pot the leaves will get a lot bigger. Beautiful plant though!

i get my binford sledgehammer 3000 drill with more power and drill holes into the floor so the roots can safely pass through the ceiling to the room below. i even once knew a person who, every time the aerial root touched the floor, he just bought a new house and let the monstera behind in the old one so the new owner can try to deal with the situation.
or you could just cut them off like a normal person.

How are you holding it that straight upright with that pole? Mine will not stand upright no matter what I try 😭

Do you have any night photos with the lights on? I like that look.

don’t have a good answer, but I have another question. Is that a good-sized pot for a monstera that size? (Sorry if this question sounds accusatory, it’s not! I’m just ignorant.) Do monsteras like smaller pots than other plants of the same size?

These are the jungle roots that Tarzan used to transport thru the jungle and found his peoples camp
