Bought this N sanguinea and noticed it already had a basal shoot. I bare rooted it during repot and planned to take off the basal shoot but it’s attached to the stem and has no roots of its own so I left it.
Is it best to leave the basal shoot on or take it off and try to prop it? The basal shoot already has baby pitchers. Also, now that it has a basal shoot does it mean the main plant will start vining 😳?

Your set is nice yo. I have the same Nepenthes, and when I purchased it it was 3 plants with basals. I followed [this ](https://www.carnivorousplants.org/grow/propagation/NepenthesStemCuttings) and now I have 3 plants a i’m expecting more basals to follow. Good luck!
Making a basal doesn’t necessarily mean the main plant will start to vine now. It may or may not.
I usually leave basals pretty long with the main plant. When it’s time for a repot you can simply pull the two plants apart.
